Our craft
Family-run since 1971
Avikar is a family-run furniture maker in Kolkata, working since 1971. Our workshop builds each chair in solid mahogany or teak, with dovetail joints for strength, and finishes it by hand. Cane backs are hand-woven and rope arms are hand-knotted. Every chair is made to order and shipped fully assembled.

None. You can order from one chair. Trade pricing starts from 20 chairs, and models can be mixed.
What is the lead time?
About 4 weeks plus packing and shipping. For 40 chairs, about 6 weeks.
Can I get a sample?
Yes. Samples are charged at the list price plus shipping.
Can I use my own fabric?
Yes. Every chair is available in your own fabric (COM).
Are the chairs shipped assembled?
Yes, fully assembled.
