Sheer Curtains for Every Window, Transform your Home

Sheer curtains are woven from lightweight, semi-transparent fabric that filters daylight and softens a room without blocking the view outside, while regular curtains are heavier and meant to block light or add insulation. Most Kolkata homes use sheers on their own in living rooms and balconies, or layer them with a heavier drape for bedrooms.

Yes — this is one of the most common combinations we set up. A sheer curtain hangs closer to the window for daytime light and privacy, with a blackout curtain on a second track or rod behind it for nights or bright afternoons. We measure and fit both layers together so they run smoothly on the same window.

Sheers suit living rooms and balconies particularly well, where you want daylight and a soft, airy look without losing privacy. In bedrooms, we usually recommend pairing sheers with a blackout or lined curtain so you get the light-filtering look by day and proper darkness at night.

Our sheer curtain fabric range runs from plain voile and linen-look sheers to subtly textured and embroidered options, in a range of whites, off-whites and soft tones. With 5,000+ fabrics in the showroom, you can see and feel the drape before you decide.

Every sheer curtain we make is cut and stitched to your exact window measurements. Our team visits your home to measure, recommends the right fullness and heading style for a sheer fabric, and fits it — free of charge as part of the order.

At our showroom, 46 Central Avenue, Kolkata — we’ve been fitting curtains since 1971 and are rated 4.7 by 6,500+ customers. Seeing sheer fabric against real light is the best way to judge how sheer or opaque it will look on your window.
